Fresh Scallops

Appetising looking scallops not quite large enough to legally take and eat, washed up at Ruakaka Beach recently. The birds soon ate them.

Holey Rock

This interesting rock is on the beach at Mangawhai Heads, a small village at the southeast coast of Northland that is a very popular place to have a holiday home for Aucklanders.

Martins Bay is one of the nicer beaches northeast of Auckland. Last weekend, although it was a holiday )long) weekend the beaches were far from crowded.
