Kawakawa is hosting the Northland Fire Camp this weekend, where volunteers from throughout the region will attend exercise fires, vehicle crashes etc, to hone their skills.
The photo is from a recent building burn for practice they held at Moerewa.
Most brigades are short staffed. If you might be interested in possibly joining them they'd love to see you.
